Welcome to the East Rochester Alumni Foundation website, a work in progress which is supported by the efforts of the East Rochester School District.


The East Rochester Alumni Foundation was founded in 2005. In March, 2007 we were certified by the IRS to operate as a 501(C)(3) Public Charity. The reasons for the foundation’s existence are best defined by its’ Mission and Goals.

To help make the East Rochester Schools the best they can be

Goals

  • To bring alumni together

  • To unite the school district, the community, and the students of today

  • To raise funds and to provide grants for programs critical to the
    educational system which are not funded in the school budget

  • To help build a stronger school system, a stronger community and a stronger future for all East Rochester students

In support of our “Bringing Alumni Together” goal, we are providing you the opportunity to register your name and contact information via this website. To register, simply click on “Register Yourself”. You’ll be delivered to our registration page where you’ll create a personal user name and password. Next, you’ll be able to enter as much personal
information as you care to share with friends and classmates who visit the site. To search for friends and classmates click on “View the Directory".

 

Please be aware that the only way your information will appear in the Alumni Directory is for you to register personally as described above.

 

There are a number of topically oriented pages which can be accessed from the left margin of this page:

 

The “Funded Grants & Projects” page provides information regarding how the foundation has used funds earned via our various fund raising events and through the generous support of many friends and alums. We are proud to advise that funds raised in these ways are not used to support the ongoing operation of the foundation. Such operating and administrative costs are covered with donations received from members of the ERAF Board of Directors.

The “Class Reunions and News” page has been created as a sort of alumni bulletin board. Alums wishing to have an announcement included on this page should send their copy to us at er_alumni_er@frontiernet.net. Alums planning class reunions are encouraged to make use of the “Class Reunions and News” page to post easily accessible class invitations and announcements. As would be expected, the foundation reserves the right to edit or refuse submitted material at its discretion.

The “Memorials” page serves several purposes. It contains recent death announcements, lists alumni and friends of East Rochester who have passed away and provides an opportunity for us to acknowledge individuals who have made donations to the Alumni Foundation in remembrance of one or more listed decedents.

The “Benefactors and Sponsors” page lists all businesses and individuals who have made financial or product donations to the foundation. We make every effort to raise funds without doing direct alumni solicitations. We deeply appreciate the kindness and generosity of listed donors. We also ask that you consider favoring listed businesses when you face future buying opportunities.

The “Events” page is a convenient way for you to get advance notice about events being hosted by the Foundation. From time to time we may also feature local events which are not sponsored by the Foundation but which seem to be activities which would be of interest to East Rochester alums.
