We are excited to announce the East Rochester Elementary’s Summer Reading Scavenger Hunt. This summer season, students can participate in the reading scavenger hunt for the opportunity to win prizes and enjoy different reading experiences. The scavenger hunt challenges students to read with different people, in different places, with all different types of books!
Here’s how it works:
1. Get your Summer Reading Scavenger Hunt sheet, choose a Summer Reading Scavenger Hunt flag and complete that reading activity.
2. Once you have done the activity, check it off.
3. You can go as fast or as slow as you would like, so you can read at your own pace. Once you are finished, or have gone as far as you like, turn your sheet into the East Rochester Elementary School front office for prizes.
The prizes students can receive will be given according to how much is finished on the Summer Reading Scavenger Hunt sheet. Students can win a bookmark, fidget, book tickets and a free ice cream coupon!
For more information about the Elementary Summer Reading Scavenger Hunt, please email Mrs. Snow at [email protected].
An additional resource for parents of children under the age of five is the Imagination Library of East Rochester. Parents can get free books mailed directly to your home. The Imagination Library mails free books to children from birth to age five. Books are mailed every month. Children must live in the East Rochester 14445 zip code. Register online at ImaginationLibrary14445.org.
The final day for the Summer Scavenger Hunt sheets to be turned in is Friday, September 6th.
We are so excited to see where your Summer Scavenger Hunt takes you! Relax with some great books!
