Did you have a special person that made a positive difference in your life growing up, someone that shared experiences and helped guide you along the way?  Do you want to give back to the community that helped raise you?  If so, we have an opportunity for you to help at ER Alumni Connection Day 2019.  For the last few years, our ER School Administration, in conjunction with our ER Alumni Foundation, has held the annual Mid-Level Alumni Connection Day.  On behalf of the alumni that have participated, I can say that these events have not only been huge successes, but have become a new tradition at ER Schools.  Think of it as a mini Moving Up Day for the JR High.

Consistent with an East Rochester Alumni Foundation goal “to help build a stronger school system, a stronger community, and a stronger future for all East Rochester students” the ERAF will be once again assisting the ER Administration with this year’s Mid-Level Alumni Connection Day to be held at the East Rochester school complex on Thursday, June 6.  We are looking for alumni volunteers for any or all activities.  The event runs approximately from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM, including a picnic lunch prepared by the ER Culinary students, but Alumni participation is mainly in the morning and alumni are not required to stay for the whole event.  Alumni should be prepared to briefly discuss how their ER education and experiences helped prepare them for life after graduation, and advise students on how to make the most of their years at ER schools.

I realize that this may be a work day for many, but you may find this a good excuse to take some time off.  Please let me know if you are able and willing to help.  Please feel free to forward this note to others that you think would be interested in participating.  Thanks
