New York State is proposing a significant increase in Foundation Aid for most school districts. Foundation Aid, created in 2007, is a revenue source from the State that is included in our annual school budget.
As part of the annual budget development process, the East Rochester School District works with teacher-leaders, administrators, the board of education and various stakeholder groups. With the increase in Foundation Aid, NYS has mandated that schools must solicit feedback from community stakeholders on the potential uses of Foundation Aid for targeted learning loss. As a result, the district has created this survey to solicit your thoughts on budgetary priorities across two funding areas:
The information gathered from this survey will help the district's administrative team and teacher leaders best prepare and continue to develop a plan for the expenditure of these funds. The results of this survey along with the Foundation Aid Plan will be posted to our website in July 2023.
Thank you in advance for your participation in this survey.
