The Department of Curriculum, Instruction, & Professional Development oversees all aspects of standards, curriculum, instruction and assessments, as well as professional learning to support these areas. The East Rochester School District is continuing to focus on supporting our district vision of providing the highest quality instruction to recognize the strengths of our students and meet the needs of all learners.

A well-organized and conveniently communicated curriculum allows educators to pinpoint curricular strengths and weaknesses by measuring student achievement and comparing it to the instruction program.

The district focus will continue to be multi-faceted: high expectations, a rigorous, connected and consistent curriculum, relevance in instruction and assessments and the alignment of professional learning for our teachers and support staff so that we are able to achieve this arduous challenge of preparing our children to become college and career ready for the 21st century.
