Application for free or reduced price meals for the 2022-23 school year with parent letter and instructions
If you wish to apply for free or reduced price meals, please print the application, fill it out completely, and mail it back to East Rochester Schools, 222 Woodbine Avenue, East Rochester, NY 14445. If you choose not to mail the application back to us, you are welcome to hand deliver it to the District Office Monday - Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. or drop it off at the Main Office of your child’s school and they will send it to the Food Service Office.
Why should you fill out an application for the 2022-23 school year?
Even if your child chooses to bring their own lunch, filling out the form is very important! It ensures that your school gets all of the funding and benefits available to support teachers and students. Also, even if your child does not eat school lunch, students who qualify for free lunch also can receive other benefits like:
- Access to future P-EBT benefits if they become available
- Possible discounts for your family on applicable service-based vendor programs
- Reduced fees for SAT and ACT tests and college applications
- Reduced fees for AP exams
How does filling out the Multipurpose Family Income Form help my school?
- Schools may become eligible for money to fund after school programs
- Schools get more money in their budgets to support students
