Our Mission and Vision

The Mission of the East Rochester School District is to prepare students to be college and career ready and to provide a quality education in a safe environment where all students develop the abilities, attitudes and values necessary for responsible, productive citizenship.

 

The Vision of the East Rochester School District is that students will learn through the highest quality instruction which recognizes each student's strengths, talents, interests, learning styles and rates of learning, using developmentally appropriate methods.

Educational Programs:
Universal Pre-K, after school care, full-day Kindergarten; Choral music g.3-12; Instrumental music g.4-12; Róisín Dubh (traditional Irish/Celtic music group)(g.7-12); Languages—Italian, Spanish (g.7-12);Advanced Placement (AP)—Biology, Calculus AB, Chemistry, Language and Composition, Literature and Composition, Macroeconomics, U.S. Government and Politics, U.S. History, World History; In-house Culinary Arts program; Dual Enrollment with MCC: College Physics; Fuel Education credit recovery program.

 

Interscholastic Sports:
Baseball, basketball, cheerleading, football, flag football, field hockey, indoor (winter) track, soccer, softball, tennis, track and field, volleyball, and wrestling.

 

Community Involvement:
Active districtwide PTO; Adult involvement in performing arts, athletic booster clubs, membership on school and district committees, chaperoning, classroom volunteering, Active Alumni Foundation, Elementary Primary Project, “E.R. Connection” program (for elementary students), community service projects, piloting G2 in kindergarten classes, Reading Assistance Dog Program.
